Online marketing takes some getting used to, especially if you are new to the world of online marketing. There are plenty of tools that tell you what you need to dominate your market. For example, there is a wide selection of keyword tools available on the market, but only a few are recommended over and over again. I’m not a big fan of keyword tools. And anyone who knows me or has been following my teachings for several years knows this. I use free keyword tools to help me drive more traffic to my websites. But one thing that’s important to know is that I use two completely different keyword research strategies for paid advertising, and then I use them for my article marketing. And while these are two very good free keyword research methods, I think it’s important to differentiate between them.
Now the way I come up with keywords for my article marketing is by using Google’s Wonder Wheel. I’ve already explained exactly how I use this Google search tool to do this on several occasions, so I won’t go into the details here. But if you look at my previous articles written on the subject, you’ll get details on how I use Google’s Wonder Wheel.
Now how do I come up with keywords outside of that, like if I’m running pay per click campaigns or cost per view (CPV) campaigns? Well, for paid advertising, I actually use a bit of a different strategy than using the Wonder Wheel (for article marketing). I do this because in that environment, what I’m looking for is that I don’t want my website to look cluttered. I refer to “looky-loos” as people who are just browsing without any intention of making a purchase. I want buyers to come to my website, not viewers. And the reason, of course, is that because I’m spending money to get someone to click through to my web page, I want to make sure it’s the right person to visit my website. I want a person who is ready and willing to spend money.
For paid advertising, I go online and find a good resource. Because I want to find buyers, I want people to be eager to get my information. And since I sell information personally, I want buyers for my products. Now let me explain how I would use a paid service to gain more traction in my market. So let’s say my keyword is “personal development.” In the search bar, I’ll put “personal development” and type it. So when I type the words “personal development,” a lot is going to happen. One thing that is going to happen to me is that he is going to give me names of books and he is going to give me names of authors. Try using the author’s name as a keyword. Well, the name of the book would be a possible keyword. Another thing you can do is create book titles within your niche. Use these book titles as potential keywords as well. This technique has worked very well for me.
Now, I would like to share where to find the best paid site keywords, which will give you the best keyword results.
One important thing to make sure to do when using it for your keyword research is to only use author names and book titles that are listed on the first page of the authority site. This is extremely important, because it ranks them by popularity. And since they are ranking them, the first ones on the page are the ones that get the most action. More people search for them, which means more people buy them. So now you have a list of the top keywords that people are searching for.
Sometimes when I do a Google search, for example, in an area like “personal development”, what happens is that it also suggests keywords for other searches. So basically this will also allow you to use those keywords. It will say “people searching for this keyword are also searching for this other keyword.” The newer search words they suggest can be other keywords to use as part of your research. So that’s a good example of how to do keyword research and potentially take your research to the next level.
