What do you need:
- 2 kilos of chicken wings, without the tips and cut in two by the union
- 3 onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup dark maple syrup
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- Cilantro to decorate
Combine onions, garlic, maple syrup, brown sugar, soy sauce, ground black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Pour the mixture into a large resealable plastic bag, then add the chicken wings to the bag. Shake bag to coat wings with mixture. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. When ready, remove wings from bag and discard excess marinade. Cook marinated chicken on preheated grill over medium-high heat for 5 minutes per side or until cooked through. What do you need:
- 1 1/2 kilograms of chicken wings, without the tips and cut in two at the seam
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup of water
- 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili paste
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon finely minced garlic
- chopped peanut
Combine brown sugar, peanut butter, water, cider vinegar, soy sauce, chili paste, sesame oil, and garlic in a bowl. Set aside. Toss the wings in vegetable oil and hot sauce, then cook on a preheated grill over medium-high heat until cooked through. Let cool for a few minutes. When ready, place the grilled chicken in a bowl and pour half of the peanut sauce over the chicken. Toss to evenly coat wings with mixture.
