The facelifted Audi S5 has suffered a pinch and tuck to its sheet metal by the Audi design team. It’s sleeker, more refined and modern, with a few tech highlights that set it apart from everything else on the road. The sports coupĂ©’s performance is as impressive as its looks thanks to forced induction and the advanced Quattro all-wheel drive system. The OSS Designs team wanted to improve on both of these aspects and created a new Audi S5 upgrade program that gives the coupe better performance and a stunning appearance that is hard to match. The new upgrade program includes new 3-piece wheels, engine performance improvements, and a new custom-designed body kit that gives it incredible road presence.
Part of what makes the Audi S5 special from the factory is its 3.0-liter V-6 engine fed by a supercharger to give it impressive performance numbers. Due to forced induction, the car has quite a bit of untapped potential. The OSS Designs team capitalized on that potential with a few updates to the engine, starting with a Borla stainless steel exhaust. The exhaust includes a new downpipe, 100-cell stainless steel catalytic converters, new mufflers, and polished ends to reduce back pressure for better boost. A new air intake system helps the supercharger draw more air into the engine, while a larger intercooler keeps temperatures regulated. All the mods are tied together thanks to a new ECU software tweak that helps create more boost and alter fuel delivery to send out a total of 415 horsepower and 395 lb-ft. of torque to the four wheels of 3 pieces.
Due to the increased power, the OSS Designs team had to upgrade the chassis. The suspension was fitted with a new KW Variant 3 coilover setup with adjustable dampers and spring rates. A new set of Brembo brakes were fitted front and rear with four-piston calipers with 380mm ventilated discs for better stopping power. To add some style to the car and improve performance, the team fitted a new set of 3-piece forged aluminum alloy wheels in a 9.0×20 front and rear configuration with Continental performance tires.
From the outside, the OSS Designs Audi S5 is drastically different from its original counterparts thanks to a new custom-designed body kit. The kit starts with a new front fascia that includes larger air intakes, an extended spoiler lip, and color-changing LED daytime running lights at the push of a button. Each of the fenders have been widened to accommodate the wider 3-piece wheels and feature air vents to cool the brake system. At the rear there is an integrated boot spoiler and a diffuser insert that integrates the new exhaust system.
