Before we get into the topic of ‘why programming’, let’s first know what programming is.
Programming is the method of taking an algorithm and encoding it in a notation, a programming language, to be executed by a computer. Or in simple words, “Programming is a language that tells a computer what to do through a set of instructions.”
Different types of programming languages are used, for example:
Piton
PHP
C language
Java and more..
So why program? What’s BIG about it? Because it is important?
The first thing,
In today’s world everything is done on computers;
From sending an email/report or even as simple as a picture to a distant colleague/friend/relative to having an important meeting on Skype!
ALL!
Having a computer/laptop has become a necessity for every individual as it is fast, very reliable and easy to use.
So it is said that if computers are part of your life, then learning to program will improve your life!
The main reason people learn programming is because they want to make a career out of creating business websites or mobile apps.
That’s not the only reason you need to learn programming; Programming can also help increase a person’s efficiency and productivity!
How do you ask?
Let’s take an example of a Youtuber;
I think everyone knows who youtubers are. For those who do not know, youtubers are those people who upload content to YouTube daily.
A Youtuber after recording a video has to edit it and upload it, right?
But it is not such an easy task, there are different aspects that you must take care of so that the videos are attractive; there is audio, there is video, there are animations, etc. Because you have to organize them; create a folder for each of them so that the individual does not get confused, what to put where?
Now! Creating a folder for each of them depending on the scene can be time consuming; it would basically take hours just to set it up!
If that person knew the basics of PYTHON; he would be able to make a script asking him, how many folders do you want? What would be the name of the folder? And so; and that was it! He would simply save hours of organizational headache by compressing it into three simple steps or so.
It is not said that everyone should become a programmer or anything like that. OBJECTIVE! Everyone should know at least the basics of it. So they can work smarter and increase their productivity.
